Confession: I have a love/hate relationship with Instagram.

Love: I love it because it is where my small business began, it is where I was reaffirmed that YES I should continue this modern calligraphy venture. LOVE because it is a pretty little tasting of products, projects and peeks into my life displayed in perfectly edited squares (also a reason for the hate…) I LOVE it because it is a place of collaboration—it connects creatives that want to support one another and people that want to dig in and be inspired by others, truly creating an online community for all of us to enjoy.

Hate: I hate it because let’s face it there is only SO much one can share on the comment space attached to that pretty little square. It’s limiting, it’s just a peek. Which is what it is meant to be (a great thing to remember if you ever find the old IG stoking the comparison flame).

The reason I created Tassel and Trim was not only to create modern calligraphy goods, but was to: instill confidence in the gift giver knowing what they are giving is meaningful, to excite the party-thrower because they are going to wow each guest, and to put the host at ease knowing they’ve got useful tools to create an effortless gathering.

And I have a lot to share. A little too much for the peeks that Instagram offers. So I am so excited to announce the start of the T+T Blog. Join me as I share event tip + tools, recipes, modern calligraphy education, and so much more.
